Franken-motor

Our “eventful” day continued when we prepared to go to shore. The fuel valve on our dingy motor has given us problems relentlessly since we bought it eight years ago. Yesterday, it was leaking fuel all over the place. Now at wit’s end with the motor, Scott began hauling out a myriad of tools, clamps and hoses. The valve he had onboard that would work was too large, so to make it fit he also replaced the fuel line.

The whole process took about 90 minutes, and then we were on our way to shore. Scott’s homemade, temporary fix worked like a charm.
